Xawtv - Wont compile - /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXpm

Hello,

I'm trying to get streamer working, so I can setup a timelapse photo pc, but I don't see streamer on my pc (Mandrake 9.1). So I downloaded the latest version of Xawtv, but I can't get it to install, either with make or rpm -ta. I keep getting this error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXpm
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [console/v4l-conf] Error 1
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.20447 (%build)

So From another message I tried,
updatedb; locate Xpm;

But I still get the same issue. I'm wondering if there'something missing? Something I need to install from an RPM? or something else I need to download?

Just been playing with Linux for the last couple of days. Been a lot of fun, only had to reinstall about 5 times! But the old ezonics camera works way better than it ever did in Windows ME and I just got my linksys wusb11 to work (Don't ask me how, I'm afraid to shut down the pc, cause I don't know if I'll get it to work again!)

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
