i really need help on how the above command is used. this is the command (xrags)

I doubt that you mean xrags, I think you were looking for xargs. There is a wonderful utility to learn how to use it, which is the man page. You can simply type at any terminal and read the full description, or if you find it more convenient, browse to a webpage that has the same info.
