x11vnc through putty?
I have fluxbox running on Ubuntu in the living room for my multimedia center.
I use putty to log into it from my room and want to launch x11vnc so I can fix some desktop settings and things. How can I launch x11vnc through putty so I can log into it with TightVNC Viewer. I want to use x11vnc since I can log into the current visual desktop and see what is going on the TV from the other PC. |
when you're logged in, you'd just run "x11vnc", and then use vnc to connect. This is unliekly to achieve what you want though, as if you're planning on watching a tv output, not only would it suck, but it is likely to be using xvideo extensions, and when you're basically being provided with a stream of glorified screenshots, an xvideo window would just be a blue box.
