X11 libraries?


i try to compile the licq plugins, but appears this error:


checking locale.h usability... yes
checking locale.h presence... yes
checking for locale.h... yes
checking whether time.h and sys/time.h may both be included... yes
checking for sys_errlist and sys_nerr... yes
checking for licq header files... "/usr/local/licq-1.2.7/include"
checking for X... no
configure: error: You need to have the X11 libraries and headers installed



what is X11??

X11 is the windowing system, the real guts behind kde, gnome etc... install XFree86-devel

how have you installed them? what packages etc... please also fill in detrails about the distribtuion you are using and such like

linux suse 8.1 version with kde 3 and i install the Xfree packages...
