X11 and keyboard: cannot use Alt-Ctrl-XX

Hi,

I did a smart upgrade of my debian sid yesterday and this problem came out: I cannot use Alt-Ctrl-Anything or Meta-Ctrl-Anything, although Alt-Anything and Ctrl-Anything works. I do not have customized xmodmap and have not touched any keyboard configuration. Any suggestions?

Do not worry You probably updated Xorg up to 7th version
this is what I use:
Quote:
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbLayout" "us,ru,de"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle"
hope it helps

Thanks for your reply. My X.org is of version 6.9 after I downgraded it from 7.0. It does not work. Here is some information:

Quote:
eddie@understation:~$ xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xorg", "pc104", "us", "", "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle"
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc104", "us", "", "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle"
eddie@understation:~$ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
layouts = []
model =
overrideSettings = false
options = [compat srvrkeys:none]
It's not just ctrl-alt-xx that does not work. Any combination with 2 modifiers does not work. Only 1 modifier will be detected in that case.
