Angry X Windows LOGOFF

I have installed RH7.3 and it was running fine for the longest time. Then I killed a process 1 time. After that, every time I log into X it boots me. This does not always happen at the same time. I did not do anything to the kernel, so I know it is not that. I also know that it is not the video card, else why would the system log me off? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
