X using nearly 100% CPU
 
For some reason, X seems to be using almost 100% of my CPU recently:

It doesn't do this when I restart X, but somewhere along the line, X starts using far too much processor time.

What can I do about this?

This is a temporary hack, but you could use the renice command to bring down it's priority.

How do I use that command? Neither help nor man -k give any info about it.
