Hey everyone.

This question was already asked but it didn't help me out. I think it's because of the way this error was produced.

When I was exiting wmaker, it usually kicks me back to kdm so another user can login.

However, I was using another virtual terminal and switched to it as the xserver was restarting. xserver got mad and started going into a flashing loop, preventing from using either the X server or the virtual terminals.

I've had this happen before but I can't remember how I fixed it. I've fixed the problem temperarily by forcing gdm to start instead of kdm.

xstart works when the inittab is set to 3 and the user has logged into the console. However, KDE libraries fail to load (can't run KDE-based applications like konqueror, kmix, etc).

I think this has something to do with me KDE libraries being corrupted maybe?

Has anyone experienced this problem and know how to fix it?
