X-Mule and wxWindows ... What to download?
I've downloaded xmule and it says it needs:
wxWindows-2.4.0 or greater, linked against glib/gtk-1.2.10
I don't know what to download from wxWindows site?
I'm trying xmule because i hear many good things about it.

I can't get xmule to work.
Okay this is my third time trying. I un-tarball wxwindows and install it. I then do the same for xmule and theres allways some kind of error, and i type xmule anyways hoping to execute the binary but it's nowhere to be found. I'm thinking of trying a different p2p application.
What's a simple and effective p2p application? I love dillo so i'm looking for more apps like it.

You have to specify your error messages.
Anyway, ML Donkey is another p2p and (at least old mldonkey) easy to install.

I second that. The speeds you get out of the edonkey network with xmule are not so great.Mldonkey is generally faster because it also uses overnet for the same downloads.Plus it never crashes - at least on my box.

By speed, i download fine, including low sources files but the problem is that several mb's get lost for corruption, and if you use e-mule you mb's win from compression.
Ex:
700 MB File
On emule, you download 670 mb (more less).
On xmule, you download 730 mb (more less).
