X-Fi Input

Hi

I've got Creative's Beta 2 X-Fi Drivers working, with reasonable success, on Fedora 8 x86_64. However today I decided to try and do some basic recording, with Ardour and Jack. Jack is not getting anything from the capture ports ("wiring" them straight to my outputs yields nothing, whereas for comparison with my onboard AC97 this will monitor whatever recording input is selected), no matter what input I select in my mixer (I'm trying to use the microphone input, for the record). The odd thing is, when I enable direct input monitoring through Alsa's mixer device (via KMix, if it makes any difference) for Microphone, I can hear my One Twos perfectly. Is this just down to dodginess in Creative's drivers or is there a problem in my own config I have a chance of fixing? Has anyone else had any success with recording from an X-Fi?
