X Crashes, and doesn't recover after restart - GTS 450

After trying to wine a few games on my ubuntu 10.10 box as a test for the compatibility with wine, my computer froze. I waited 30 seconds and then restarted the comp, after the restart I got the message:

Ubuntu is running is low-graphics mode, Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly etc.

Unplugged the power, turned off the power supply, restarted X, did a:
Code:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
and restarted, to find nothing had changed. I have a Nvidia GTS 450 graphics card and am running the 260.19.21 Nvidia Drivers.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Show us the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file that is generated when you try to start X.

Thanks for the speedy reply, I have tried to start my computer using the failsafe X option, and that gave me the same error as before.

Managed to get the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file via SSH and attached it to this post.
