no, the result is the same, both R-kiosk and "Full Fullscreen" add-on are having the same output, still can see a bit of the root window.

so i guess the only method is to use the javascript to open up a new window with the width and height setting to 1024x768.

Oh I see you are creating a new window from within the small html file - ending up with 2 windows one being small and the other being the full size? You can use javascript to resize the current window and make it fill the screen - that's how I originally did it and avoids popups. I still can't for the life of me find that javascript in my final version though which uses the rkiosk plugin. I vaguely remember removing it because I don't think it needed it anymore. I'll keep looking though and post back here if I find anything.
