X and my keyboard

I'm having problems with my XFree86. It all started one day when I booted, got to the logon screen, and when I pressed any letter button on the keyboard, the screen zoomed in. Then I realized that almost every key did the same thing. Then I got to bash and was modifying my XF86Config file with the modeline as specified here.

Now, nothing happens when I press letter keys. BTW, the link is all about the Dell Inspiron 8500 Laptop that I have. I'm running RH9 if that makes a difference.
