hello folks,
i have compiled xorg on my lfs system. now i want to add multimedia support. with an aim to keep my installation as small as possible, i chose vlc player (as it plays both audio and video). i know mplayer is also an option... still i decided to go with vlc. but vlc requires wxwidgets to be installed. the home page of wxwidgets says
Quote:
An open source C++ GUI framework to make cross-platform programming child's play

hmm... isn't that exactly what gtk does? and mplayer i guess requires gtk... right?
now, i wonder what would be more benificial... gtk or wxwidgets ... keeping in mind the number of (popular) applications i may get on sourceforge.
well as i said... i need to keep my LFS installation as small (and fast) as possible..
pls advice,
