Angry wu-ftpd admin issue

Hi all,

I have just installed and setup wu-ftpd on Mepis, i used a guide to configure the server as i have not done it before. I got the server to work and am able to connect to it from outside ect. however, i cannot seem to delete any files within the ftp structure. i.e. i can create files - add files to that dir, but cannot seem to delete via ftp. I CAN however browse to the files locally and delete the

i changed the ftp folder to be chmod 777 and still no joy, and as far as i can tell i have full admin rights as the ftp user. Unfortuanetely i am quite new to linux so i may need some "nannying" through it...

Dave
