wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file sy

I'm trying to install 2.4.16, to Mandrake 8.1 [2.4.8] .
I get wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock or too many mounted file systems. I enabled DOS Fat fs support + VFAT (Windows-95) fs support, but not MS-DOS fs support. I think I had all 3 enabled before! I used xconfig, I also configured it without the 3 options above mentioned. Same Problem, Help!
Thanks in Advance!
P.S. 2.4.16 runs ok, just the above boot up problem.

You'll most definately need MSDOS fs support if you are mounting a windows partition. You need to recompile the kernel with all of the windows/dos related fs options checked. Make sure you don't check them as modules either, just yes.
