Wrong DISPLAY value runing JDownloader

Hello everybody.

I'm trying to run JDownloader on my Debian Lenny, however when I type:

# java -jar JDownloader.jar

I get this error:

Quote:
INFO [jd.Main(main)] -> init Splash
No protocol specified

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError:

Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

I found a lot of info in google but nothing helps me, can you give me some clue?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm executing the Command in a terminal.

You need to run that in a terminal in X. Are you actually at a text console?

Thanks for the Reply!

Yes!, I'm running that command on a text console ( Konsole ), but I also tried:

Right Click On JDownloader.jar + Open With + Sun Java 6 Runtime

Which seems to load the program but anything happens, the process runs but I can't see it!

Any Clue? thanks again!
