Question Would it be perfectly okay to install and use Guarddog firewall (a KDE app) in GNOME?

Hi.

Would it be perfectly okay to install and use Guarddog firewall (a KDE program) in GNOME? Would there be any problems?

Thanks.

Yes it would be fine.

It may be ugly, or it may not "fit in" with the Gnome apps, and it may pull down a bunch of libraries for dependencies, but it would be ok.

Hi AlucardZero. Would all of the dependency libraries be pulled down automatically?

Usually, yes. That's what package managers are for.

Are you using Ubuntu like your profile says? Are you using a package manager (Add/Remove Programs, Synaptic, aptitude, apt-get)? Yes, of course.
