Wink Working with FFMPEG and WinFF


I am need of converting MOD files from my JVC video camera tht are in a .mod format was pointed to ffmpeg but I don't think I have the right Codex to properly read the file does anybody have any suggestions

Yes, I have a suggestion. Provide some details. The more details you can provide, the greater the chance someone can give you a satisfactory answer.

What exact command(s) have you tried? What output did you get? What's the version/source of your ffmpeg program?

What is the output of ffmpeg -i <file.mod>? At the very least it should be able to report what kind of codecs are involved.

Talking never mind

Never mind I dod figure it out, it just need to have the xvid codex installed. followed a post I found on another website will post it when I get the chance later

Talking heres what I found

did a search on the Ubuntu formums and found this followed the directions and it started to work I think have not checked the output file yet.
