Trying to install wordpress on my local machine. I can load index.html from
http://localhost so I know the apache2 is running. I can load a file called phpinfo.php that simply runs <?php phpinfo.php(); ?> and it appears to work fine so I know php is interpreted. However some of the wordpress php files cause firefox to prompt for an app to run the php scripts.
For example if I load wordpress/wp-admin/install.php a dialog pops up showing that firefox identified the file as a php script and what application do I wish to use to open the file.
Any comments, advice or suggestions are welcome.
