WordPerfect 8 installation on Fedora Core 2

I installed WordPerfect 8 successfully under Fedora Core 1. For my installation notes see http://www.constitution.org/corp/linux.htm and http://www.constitution.org/comp/xeta-fc1.htm and scroll down to near the bottom of the page. However, when I installed it the same way after upgrading to Fedora Core 2 I keep getting error messages "Cannot create a new process", including when I try to print a document, so that I am unable to print as I could before. I have examined the merged /etc/ld.so.conf files for possible conflicts, but nothing appears suspicious about that.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and better yet, solved it? If so, please post your solution here, and I will add it to my online documentation when I get it to work. Email me at jon.roland@the-spa.com
