WMV to MP4

I'm looking for a good way to convert wmv files to mp4 (to playback on an iPod). I've tried ffmpeg and mencoder but I don't think that I have found the best solution.

Thanks for any help.

I've re-encoded some wmv's to xvid with mencoder. It's actually quite simple once you get the hang of it. I guess you could take a look at transcode to see if it works. I don't know any graphical tools that would do the trick. There are probably some available, however.
