wmv plugin
is there a wmv plugin for linux and if so where can i download it?
|
yes there is
just setup urpmi from this site : http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ then install a package called w32codecs or win32codecs (i cant remember exactly it name now :) ), either from the mandrake control center -> package manager -> install package or just type : su urpmi w32codecs |
note: those codecs are binary, mplayer can play most wmv with its native codecs, either one you pick, it still cant play any drm ......... also don't complain if the win32codecs crash, i found they are incompatible with enforced security setups (due to there binary-ness).
btw: plugin for what package? |
thanks guys
