WMV and DVD on SuSe 10.1

I just installed SuSe 10.1 but im having a lot of trouble getting videos to work. Xine and Kaffiene both cant play DVD or WMV and i dont really know how to get the codecs installed. Can anyone give me a detailed explaination as to how i can install the codecs along with Mplayer or something? Thanks
