Wireshark UI Issues + KDE Theme Colors

Hi,
I compiled Wireshark, latest version, and installed it. No errors

However, the Packet Details Pane is not displaying properly. The text is white, the 'text-highlighting' is also white (and the background is a dark grey I setup via KDE Colors. There are no options in the KDE color menu to set menu lists to be a certain color.
I fiddled around with Wiresharks color Rules, but that only applies to the Packet pane. The Preference menu also yielded no solution. I even went into wiresharks preference file - and no option there. I did find:
Code:
gui.marked_frame.bg: 000000
And tried using gui.unmarked_frame.bg -- but no go.

Is there anyway to set the menu highlighting color to background color? Or some other work around where I can keep my KDE color scheme?

Thanks for the help, Jeff

Any ideas? I tried updating to the latest SVN release instead of the stable (0.99.6) I was using. Now using 0.99.7

By process of elimination, I've concluded that Wireshark must be setting the color to white somewhere in the source. So I ran a search on 'FFFFFF' on my whole HD - and it didn't return anything useful.

I'll give Wireshark's bugtraq a try.

OK after doing a few more hours of research I have narrowed it down.
The GTK widget controlling the row background color is GtkTreeView as found in the file wireshark/gtk/gtkglobals.h:
Code:
/** Tree view (packet details) pane. */
extern GtkWidget *tree_view;
GtkTreeView API reference can be found here, http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2...tkobjects.html

I'm not good with code. I'm not sure if I need to modify the wireshark source somewhere, or set the properties for *tree_view in a KDE config file. And once I find where, I don't know how.
I was hoping now that I have laid the facts out, someone could hopefully recognize what to do.
