Wireless card not recognised upgrading from Ubuntu to mint


Computer. Lenovo Y50p

Previously Ubuntu 14 fully wireless operational

Moved to Mint17cinnamon
Wireless card driver not found

Card is broadcom802

No Linux driver found this time

Any suggestions please.

Install the driver. Download from here: http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php

Although the Lenove is a 64bit system I selected 32bit on the principal that as in the other place 64bit will run both .
How ever on trying to work the driver file a message that no App in stalled to work it.
So what to look for in thee myrid of app out there.

You said everything was working before under Ubuntu, so there shouldn't be a hardware problem. Mint contains the application and you loaded the driver. The only other thing that comes to mind is that there may be a group associated with wifi that you need to make yourself a member of. If you need Mint-specific information, you might want to ask on the Mint forum (highest concentration of Mint experts).
