wired probelm with audio cdrom


i did this with dmesg

hdb: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hdb: command error: error=0x54
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:40 (hdb), sector 64
isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=03:40, iso_blknum=16, block=32

but i could mount data cd. and i see the content of a data in /mnt/cdrom
but i can't see audio cd, i know audio cd should not be mount it read auto


aslo my sound card was not detect it claim that that was mute, the error siad try alsamixer then
alsactl am i did it i have rise the volume


my fstab looks like this

/dev/hda1 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

i am uising slackware 10 on my dell laptop , i use to have fc2 but i format it didn't like it for some reason, and came to slackware back again

also i have the same probelm with my desktop same slackware version, i know it not a hardware problem because i use to play audio in fc2

you cannot mount an audio volume without special software, to use it, try xmms or xine

i fix the problem and of course i wasn't mounting audio, like i said above "but i can't see audio cd, i know audio cd should not be mount it read auto" i knew some one will say this
