Unhappy Winzip and ISPs and Support

I'm a recent Windows convert looking to use Linux and have Fedora Core installed on my laptop. I have a few basic questions that I needed to find out because it just doesn't seem obvious for me and they are:

1) What utility can we use to download so that we can open up zip/Winzip files within Linux? I need to extract some files from a zip file and Linux Fedora doesn't recognize the file type and keeps asking me to open it with some application by asking "Open with..."

2) How can I hook up to the internet via Dial Up connection? I have AOL as an ISP but they don't make software for Linux so what's a Fedora user to do in order to connect to the Internet?

3) Unlike Windows, Technical Support for Linux and Fedora seem non-existent. I'd like to actually speak to someone knowledgeable of Linux and/or Fedora to pose these and other questions to. Does anyone have a phone number I can call?

Please reply or reach me at with any answers.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
