WinPopUp messages

I posted something similar to this in Networking, but thought I would check here in the software forum as well since its kind of an overlapping question that I have.

Does anyone know what I need to add to my smb.conf in order to allow Kopete to receive WinPopUp messages?

Also, what are other options for receiving WinPopUp messages and how do I implement them in smb.conf? I'd prefer graphical apps but I'm open to console solutions as well.
