Unhappy WinLinux2003 problem install

I just got my WinLinux2003 CD and tryed to install the program. About half way into the data transfer process it stops and gives me an error message: An error occured during the move data process:-106..........Component: WinLinux2000 System\etc-Config Files...........File Group: etc-Configuration Files.........File: CDROM
Does this mean that the CD has a bad file? If so, how does one fix or get around it? I did everything recomended to prepare the HD and followed all the instructions, several times. No luck. I tryed every way of getting it to load, control panel add/remove programs, from the desk top and from my computer. Still no luck. I did get another error message telling me that c:\Linux already existed and that I could not load the program with it there and that it needed to be deleted if I wanted to continue. Back to add/remove programs, it's not there. I hit start and click on find file, again, not there. I go to my computer and open c drive and explore every window or system file there, c:\Linux is nowhere to be found. At this time I have three messages at support@winlinux.net that no one there seems to feel like answering. The only other thing that might be of use here is that I think they wrote this program around the redhat 7.2 kernel.

It's hard to say what exactly went wrong. In principal installing Linux on a windows system through UMS-DOS should work. But I don't think mixing 2 completely different OSes is a good idea. In my opinion you'd be better off with making some room on your HD to make some real linux partitions and install one of the major Linux distros.

When dealing with computers I feel like that guy in mythology who had to roll a boulder up hill and every night the boulder would roll back down. Then in the morning he would be back where he started the day before.

Seeing as though WinLinux is ignoring their promise of life time support and not giving me any. I think the only thing to do is send it back, demand a refund and if they don't like it I'll get VISA to do the dirty work. Post a bad review on cnet and get Pink Tie 8.0 from cheapbytes.
