Also how do i save an alias, so next time i open a terminal or restart the computer i dont have to type the alias and define directory in again

Is there a standby mode in Mandrake 9.1? How do I activate it?

And last.... vmware says there is no cd in the drive no matter what os i try to install, but their it always reads the cds, what do i do?
