I have been trying to download WineX via CVS for the past couple of days and it doesnt seem to be working at all.

First I used the GetWineXPThreads script and let it run for 2 days. Nothing, just seemed like it was done downloading a certain amount and was gonna sit tight at where it currently was.

Second I found this page with instructions on how to log into the cvs manuall, get the cvs version, compile and install it

It stopped at a file called wineclipsrv.c, I thought it might take a while so I let it run all night. It's still sitting there

Any suggestions on what I should do now
OR
Anyone have a better method of grabbing WineX (without paying that is, cuz that is my very very last option).

The WineX CVS is complicated to build. They dont make it easy because they want you to pay. If you got a build error, try downloading a newer version, and if it still wont build, you're out of luck.

And there is no other way to get WineX besides paying for it, you're not allowed to distribute binaries of it.

Just pay for it and support the company.

i had the same problem, but actually i believe it IS downloaded. just ctrl c out of there and start compiling wineX i'd pay for it if i have the money ;d
