WineX and EverQuest
 

When I change to root, and change to my cdrom

su
cd /mnt/cdrom

then i do winex Setup.exe and it pops up like its gonna install then

Unhandled Exception Starting Debugger, then nothing it closes.

Any reason why? Running Rh8.0

btw i have had success with winex before.

You might want to look / post on transgaming's message board. In general though, wine seems to work better with installers. Might try installing it with wine and running it with wineX.

had you installed eq before? winex makes a list of sorts for installed software. You may need to delete the eq one.

Also I never have never had to install as root and do not recomeend it. You do not need to cd to the cdrom I do it with this command

winex /media/cdrecorder/setup.exe

this way your cdrom is not considered open and can be unmounted, so you can change disc
