Thumbs down Winex

when installing WineX everything is going fine , it asks where do you want c , /c , than it says installing registry entries , but than it fails and gives me wine: chdir to /root/.wine/winserver-dhcp-340-654 : No such file or directory Registry install failed ... BTW , i also have a startup problem wher it asks me to put dhcp-340-654 to /etc/host or something like this ... whats that about ?

That seems like a glibc issue. Here is from #winex after asking the bot about pthreads.

Quote:
Using RedHat9, Mandrake9.1, Gentoo or another distribution with glibc 2.3.2? You need WineX with pthreads support! In WineX3 (binaries) start games with "winex3 -use-pthreads yes". To use pthread-support in CVS configure with "--enable-pthreads". If you want to use ElmerFudds script, ask me about "cvswinex".
its #winex on freenode if you want to go there yourself and ask for help.
