Terve,
What are you trying to do. Are you using wine or winex ?
If you try to run wine by itself, i dont think it will work.

I trying to run winex when I trying to run wine I het following:
Code:
[root@tux Staff]# wine
Invalid path L"C:\\windows" for L"windows" directory: does not exist.
Perhaps you have not properly edited your Wine configuration file (/root/.wine/config)

the correct way to run a program with winex is:
cd to the directory where the executable (.exe) file is, and type:
winex3 ?????.exe

winex3 followed by the application name.

winex3 works only if you are using transgaming's releasion of package. I'm not. I m using free .rpm and with it you should put #wine to run software.

I think I'm getting close to solution of problem. I've installed wine debug package and it runs all sofware which do not need X server. Whaen I trying to run them who need I get:
Code:
[serzz@tux Staff]$ nfsu_key
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

x11drv: Can't open display: :0.0
Please ensure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.

Make sure that wineserver is running before you start wine.
