I already tried that winesetuptk and I was getting all kinds of error messsages about missing libraries, the winesetuptk that I have installed I downloaded from sourceforge.net and was listed for slackware 9.1, I am running 10.0.. I'v been able to launch the configuration wizard. I need help getting th ewine desktop launched and I would like to be able to port it outlook express in my windows 98 partition. I would really appreciate the help.

What exactly do you mean the wine desktop. I think u r mistaken as to what Wine is exactly. It does not have a desktop, nor does it have a gui. You open a terminal emulator and type

wine filename.exe

to launch a program...altho not all programs are supported yet.
