Wine wont start program, segmentation fault, artsdsp
Hi there. Im trying to get wine to work for me, but I haven't been having much sucess. I think I got it configured all right, but when I try to start quicken I get this:
$ wine /mnt/win_d/program\ files/Quicken/qw.exe /usr/bin/wine: line 206: 4811 Segmentation fault artsdsp -s ${true_binary} $opts $dash "$exe" Any ideas? |
i'm smart enough not to use wine*, so i don't know exactly how that all works, but that's an accounting package that wants to play sounds???? check the win configs / registry to disable sound for that particular app. seems to be some handy tips here... http://www.linux-militia.net/howtos/wine/WineHowto.html

Um, Im not quite sure how to disable the sound for it, but its not the only one that that error comes up with. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Im like, this close to switching the family comp over, I just need to make a few win programs work. thanks.
