wine stopped finding is own installed prgms?

Thanks for this place of knowledge and help.

I did a forum search and even visited wineHQ but could not find out why wine 1.2 deb or even 1.1 deb (un-installed between installs) could not find it's own windose prgms. They show up in Mint menu, but get the "No file found." and I can't even find their file folders after install? (part way lost in linux land again, but not as lost in windose land.)

I tic wine > palm desktop (or any other 7 other entries) and get "file not found!" I installed fully thur Synaptic and reinstalled thru same...but wine no work no more?

Worked for a week, wow! I didn't do the "sudo apt-get pruge wine" thing yet as i got it wrong again.

your wine programs will by default be insalled in /home/username/.wine (with the . before the w). The . makes it a hidden directory. You should check there to see if the wine programs are still there.

Yep, thanks very much....

remembered right after you said that.... ctrl - h and found them....but "menu" cant find them any longer nor can i get the right command to show the links in menu any longer. Wine is not showing in menu now, and was before last reinstall. I think i broke it badly.

Ps great saying.... "for pros, i use it anyway." Not to get off topic... linux is for pros, i TRY to use it anyway....
