WINE, RedHat 7.3, and packages

I'm using RedHat 7.3, and I downloaded a version of WINE that's meant for RedHat 8.0. Will it still work on RedHat 7.3? Also, how do you install individual packages from the installation CDs once you've already installed the operating system. I don't feel like going through the whole installation process again just to install some additional packages. Finally, is there some way I can find out which packages from the installation CDs are installed and which ones are not?

To install new RPMs from the RedHat 7.3 CDs, you can use gnorpm or kpackage.

You can also use RedCarpet.
