Wine Rack

I'm thinking about buying the Wine Rack CD that suSE is offering, but I don't want to switch over to SuSE.

Is it possible to run all the apps on the CD using another distro?

I don't know. It is quite possible that they won't work on other distros, although I couldn't verify this without checking.

I was just looking at this myself. I have a copy of SuSE 8.2 that I bought and I was thinking of this too. It looks like its only $39.00 U.S.

Anyone have this or use this ?

Thanks,
Whitehat

I have Wine Rack,
runs office 2000 and internet exploerer pretty well

apple quicktime not very good - at least mplayer runs better

I got it from amazon uk -they delivered it in two weeks - even though suse uk still doesn't have it available for order in the UK.. and amazon's cheaper!

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with any other distro....it seems to be just an all-in-one solution offering products which have been available for Linux in general, just at a discounted price.
I suppose they could be released as SuSE RPMs, but i kinda doubt it.

What does SuSE use for packages?

Do they use RPM's like RedHat or Mandrake, do they use .tgz files like Slackware, or .deb files like Debian?

Gatsby, what did they come in?
