Wine problem - missing files when running not installed programs
Hi!
I have FC3 with Wine CVS. I have a Clue dictionary (Win32 program) that I want to get working in Linux. When I try to install the program trough Wine, the installation-screen captures the desktop, and you can't access anything but the log off-button when ctrl+alt+del is pressed (KDE 3.4). Therefore, I can't install it. On machines running Win32, the Clue dictionary works without installing it (Just by copying the exsisting files from the Clue installation from another PC). When I am trying this with Wine, the Clue-dictionary says that the dictionary-files are missing, which is wrong. They are in the same directory as the executeable. My question is: How shall I get Clue-dictionary to find the files that are in the same directory with the executeable? This is not a problem affecting just this program, but a lot of other programs I have tried executing without installation on Wine. Thanks! |
Can you show us the notes that said dictionary-files are missing ?

When I am running clue.exe, a popup from clue.exe shows that it is missing several files.
