hello i have a prob well of course cause thats what this site is for n e way i installed the wine rpm for mnk 9.2 and when i try to start it it says no such file or directory and it says

Perhaps you have not properly edited your Wine configuration file (/home/lil/.wi ne/config)

what is the config file and what do i need to do please help and show me what to do. thanks in advance

Your configuration file (/home/lil/.wine/config) is basically what sets up your 'Windows installation' on your computer, like it tells wine the directories in your linux machine that wine should use as 'drives'.

Go to http://www.winehq.org and look around for more information about Wine. They have a documentation part of their website which is at http://www.winehq.org/site/documentation which might help you with your problem.

i had to config the config file so it wouldnt read drive y i deleted it now i get this message

to make things easier for yourself you could try use a GUI wine configure program such as winesetuptk.

i have that and the driver x11drv still shows up

and :bem: i set it up the way you told me and i got an error message saying its ignoring drive y but when i delete it i dont get the error message now i get the x11drv error and wont start.

scratch the config file i uninstalled that version now i have the latest version now i get an error message when about to load about i need windows version 4.01212 or later do i need the dll for this
