wine, pls help

hi, i'm running a slackware 9.0 at my home pc.
i've just installed wine with a fake windows configurations and in hope to install msn messenger 6.0 with it.
alas, when i run the install exe file, the msn installer said it requires winxp, 98 etc etc to run.

can i know if there's any other way to run msn messenger 6.0 now? can i run the-already-installed msn messenger right from my existing windows with wine?
has anyone successfully running it?

thx...

why wouldn't you just use amsn or gaim or whatever else....there are numerious possibilities rather than going through hell to get msn working with wine..
and the latest version of msn that has both success and troubles working with wine that i have seen is msn4.6...
