Wine Not Totally Removed - Still Visible in the Menu

After removing Wine from Ubuntu 7.10, I was puzzled that it was still visible under Applications. How can I remove this from the menu?

To delete Wine from the use the GNOME Menu Editor. You find this tool on the GNOME Menu by selecting Programs -> Setting -> Menu editor.

I have a further issue along these lines. I uninstalled Wine and it stayed in the start menu. I had to right-click on the KDE start button and go to Menu Editor and delete Wine from there.

Anyway, I had uninstalled it to try Crossover instead, but a particular program i wanted to try didn't work there either, so i thought i would install Wine again.

Now Wine will not create any menu items when i install new software. How can i solve this? I would rather not have to manually enter every time.
