Angry wine installation and use

i have untarred and unzipped wine but the ./tools/wineinstall does not work. please enlighten me about how to install and use wine

i'm using winex3 from an rpm install no prob, but then rpm's are easier (when they work)

what distro are you running? and when you try installing wine from source what error are you getting?
