Wine install Suse 10.2 winecfg

After downloading RPM for Suse 10.2 from Wine home page, it appears that the next step is wine config.

When as a non root user I invoke wine with wine program.exe it attempts to load winecfg.

The error message

could not load L"c:\\windows\\system32\\program.exe

appears. There apparently is a need to map/mount/create a windows like drive c:..... and I am missing this step.

I doubt a corrupt download because I get the same thing with the SUSE repository.....and cannot find a wineconfig file either in /etc/ or anywhere else.

What am I overlooking? Thanks.

The configuration tool is called winecfg ... enter this into a terminal.

GUI wine?

Thanks for the note. winecfg certainly gives me the configuration options for winXP/2000 etc. I have selected WinXP then apply.

Am I to expect a GUI which looks like windows? It appears that I have only the command prompt available to determine what wine does.

Can I expect wine to give me a windows appearance GUI? I assumed so.

Sorry to be overlooking what may be the obvious. Thanks again.
