WINE in RH9.0?
 

ok, I could probably track down more info on this by myself, and this has probably been asked before but how do you use WINE?

I installed via an RPM installer, but I can't run anything because it keeps saying something about no info on [Drive X] or something. This I expected, because I haven't been able to find where to set my Drive info. Where is the config file? I installed the RPM with all default settings.

Don't you have a command wine-config or something like that?

Anyway.. check if you have a .wine folder under your user directory, there's a config file inside.

Or if there's not, create it.

(create the ~/.wine dir and copy /etc/wine.conf into it, then personalize to your needs)

You may have problems with WINE because RH9 uses the NPTL. It may be best to download the source and compile it yourself with a --with-nptl when ./configure-ing.

Ok, Wine is finally working but I can only run a few programs because I don't have win98 drivers...I only have winXP drivers which are supposedly useless. The main thing I want to be able to run is KazaaLite, but I get some message about not being able to create a blank document...and then it opens up the program and shuts it right back down again.

Any ideas?

From what I've read, it is hard to get KazaaLite running on Wine.
