I am sitting on the bar doing some wine testing and I am looking at some apps and the winecfg window - the fonts are too small, what can I do?
Thank you
run "wine regedit" in a console, and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\Fonts\LogPixels. You may have to create it if it's not there (Use the dword choice). Then change the value to adjust the size of your fonts. 96 (decimal) is a pretty good average size. You'll probably have to restart your applications to see any change.
Dear David,
I followed your advice. I can see this file/setting, the value is something like 0x00000060(96)
but when I go up to Edit from the task bar and choose 'Modify' the whole registry editor crashes.
Is there a way to access this LogPixels setting through emacs, I need to find the related file I guess.
Thank you a lot
Ibex
the 60 value is the hexidecimal version of 96, so that's what it's already set at. If your dpi is 116, then maybe you should start there, at the hex value of 74. But really, you might just keep playing with values until you find one you like.
It seems strange that regedit crashes on you though. It's usually been pretty stable, in my experience.
