Did you compile wine yourself? if so, try accepting more defaults.
Have you libpng installed?

It would be good to give some information about your distro, installation, & wine version.

I'm not keeping up with wine development (or anything else) but the situation was that wine 32bit was fairly well sorted and wine 64bit was alpha. If you (Like me) only need to run 32 bit stuff, don't enable 64 bit.
With a 32/64 bit you will need a multilib system, i.e. you will need
libpng - 64bit as one package &
libpng - 32 bit as another. And so on for every library.

your box may be right - libpng (64bit) may not be installed. Time to check the 'bittiness' of everything!
