Wine crashed sound in MDK 10 (XMMS)

Hi, little help here plz...

I used wine to play tuxracer for windows on MDK 10, I was using xmms when I launch the program, and inmediatly after the gaqme started, the sound started to feel really choppy, then I exited the game stop xmms the restart the game and when I was finished I tried to put xmms on again but it still had that choppy sound. I turned off the PC, go to bed and today I tried to use xmms again but it still had that problem, so I really don't know how wine screwed things up and off course I want to be able to play songs in XMMS.

wine version: 20040213
XMMS version: 1.2.9 using ALSA 1.2.9 and OSS (neither of them worked)

Both from mdk cds
P.D. Sounds works in other apps ok, apperantly screwed up only in XMMS

you can change the output plug in for XMMS in the prefrences ( ctrl + p). Mine is on ALSA, you shouls change it to the one that works. Thats what I did.
